Exporting From Final Cut Pro to Power Point

Export Process for Power Point:

1) Establish Proper setup

Final Cut Pro – Easy Setup-   Use- DV-NTSC
                Format- All Formats
                Rate- All Rates

2) Export Self Contained QT Movie

File—Export--- Quick Time Movie—Current Setting—Make Movie Self-Contained

Location—Desktop

3) Open QT Movie in FCP

Right click on exported file. Choose “Open With” Final Cut Pro. Highlight Clip in Viewer.

File—Export—QT Conversion

Compression- Animation
Depth- Millions of Colors
Quality—Medium
Frame Rate—29.97
Dimensions—720 by 486 (853 x 480)
Key Frames—Auto
Size—NTSC 720 x 486 Anamorphic
Sound—Apple Lossless, Stereo (L R) 48 kHz

4) Convert to WMV

Open Mpeg
http://www.squared5.com/

Drag new QT file (.mov) into interface.
File—Export using other Formats
Format—Windows Media
720 by 480
Frame Rate 30
Deinterlace Scaling
Field Dominance: Upper Field
Don’t Limit Data Rate
Sound: Yes

After this, the resulting WMV should be Power Point friendly!!
