*Sundance Institute at BAM Opens May 29*
Running from May 29 through June 8, Sundance Institute at BAM
(Brooklyn Academy of Music) brings to Brooklyn films straight from the
'08 Festival, sneak peaks of new Sundance-supported work, and programs
that explore the creative process. This year's program will kick off
with a screening of Nanette Burstein's /American Teen/. Winner of the
'08 Festival's Documentary Directing Award, /American Teen/ explores
high school archetypes beyond the jock, the homecoming queen, the nerd,
and the arty girl to offer a surprising coming-of-age-snapshot. The
entire '08 program announcement will be made in early April and tickets
go on sale April 26.
